#830 Training Saddle

Cordura shell with firm foam core. Cinches fasten with Velcro. Six 1-1/2" D-rings allow use of ropes for training or small lunch panniers. Order cinches separately, see below.

Suitable for training llamas from yearlings to adults,Velcro fastenings on both sides of the saddle make cinch adjustments easy. Order two cinches from sizes under # 832 or #833. For the younger trainees, the 24" cinches work well. For more precise cinch length, measure around llama's body 3" behind the front legs and subtract 26".

This simple, lightweight saddle is ideal for teaching llamas to accept a pack and all its trappings. As illustrated in the photo, ropes attached to the D-rings accustom the trainee to breast straps and britching, and to have things dangling about his body. 

A saddle pad is not necessary.
